Recommend Anthias

I have 150 gallon mix reef with 2 clown, 1 yellow tang, 1 kole tang, 1 naso tang, 2 mandarin goby, 1 yellow watchman, 1 lawnmower blenny, 1 midas blenny. They all friendly with each other except the naso tang and midas blenny get agressive when feeding time. I want to at 1-2 anthias but heard they hard to eat because they are picky eater and sensitive. Give me some suggestion so my wife can get me on my next week birthday. Thank guys

Squamipinnis anthias are pretty neat. Mine is sorta picky of an eater but he is fat and healthy.

Dispars, and randalls are hardy, peaceful, and inexpensive, they do well in groups. Sunburst anthias are more solitary but more secretive. Larger species such as pink square and bimaculatus will do well as 1-2.

I have 4 in my mixed reef,see avatar,and they school together just like chromis,very tank friendly and eat anything I put in there also great color.

A beautiful fish for sure but does best in temps lower than most keep their reefs...

I have 7 Bartletts and 2 Tri-color Anthias in my tank. They all destroy small flakes, pellets, and Mysis.

I like the pair of lyretail anthias I added to my tank.
While they were picky eaters at first, they are coming around to just about any food I feed the tank.

bicolors imo are underrated, my ventralis perished unfortunately :( not sure why no marks on them, just died one day after another after having them for 3 months no problems... Squimpinis are the most hardy imo never had any issues with them.

My bi colors killed off 3 in the beginning and now i'm left with 2 don't know why they just did :(

I'm gonna get some bartletts next and try them! imo the best looking are

The 2 best species to match your Hawaii specimens are the Bartlett Anthias and the Hawaiian Bicolor Anthias.

Bartletts and Lyretails seem to be the toughest anthias that are readily available. Avoid ventralis and purple queen in particular - they can be difficult.

I would read these articles before purchasing an anthias. They're a little old but they still have some good info. :)
