Weird slime issue.

Hi everyone, my 40 breeder running has been up and running for the past 3 weeks finally. I noticed last night that there was some kind of clear slimey stuff growing on the rocks i looked in the sump and i saw some of it floating around down there also, my filter sock had a thick layer of this slime on it which made the water overflow through the top of the filter sock.
Im using marco rock in the tank.
there's 40lbs of live sand

Does anyone have any idea what this is? How do i get rid of it?
Ill be doing a 10g water change this weekend will that help. should i do a bigger water change.

Any help is greatly appreciated.
