I'm planning to order some wrasses, and want to get a Lineatus, Rhomboid, and Laboutei. Would it be ok to put these into the tank at the same time? They will all be sub-adults

Yes you can and its better to add them at the same time. Sometime these guys get territorial if added 1 at a time. Wrasses are my favorite and I have owned all 3 of the ones you are getting.

Its a shallow reef at about 60 gal. I have two medium sized fish in there, blue jaw trigger and foxface, and then a few smaller fish, like two green chromis and blenny. I removed the six line that I had in there in anticipation for a wrasse order.

After looking through availability last night, I think I'm doing a flame wrasse pair and a Lineatus. Possibly a Rhomboid if they have them, but not sure about that.

dimensions? and is it covered?

48 x 24 x 12. And yeah, I just made a nice mesh top using acrylic bar. Here is a pic with it on:

sounds good. I think you should be fine with the pair of HI Flames and Lineatus. hope you have a decent skimmer too. the blue jaw trigger and foxface probably gives out a decent bio load. good luck and I'm looking forward to what you get. :)

Yeah, I run the brand new Reef Octopus 3000 Super Space Saver with the Bubble Blaster 3000 pump :0 Its way overkill for my tank, but with carbon dosing and fish, I thought it couldn't hurt. It does a fantastic job.

I also have another tank plumbed in for frag growout (for my own benefit) and put in a lot of time for maintenance. I can show you a log of everything in my tank for the last 4 months, including all dosing, measurements, water changes, changes to equipment, and everything :)

:hammer:

no need for that. :)

good luck again. the two wrasses you've chosen are really nice.

Cool, thanks Marvin. Hopefully I can get these guys in and add some shine to my fish stock :)

Yeah, so did I. I got it so bad that I covered m rimless tank, haha. I haven't heard from the guy I order from yet today, but he said we could order today and then would ship today for delivery tonight :)

whoa! that's some fast service. :)

did you order the pair of HI Flame and Lineatus? sweet!

Ok, so Lineatus, Rhomboid, and Scotts wrasses should be here Friday. If all goes to plan, I should get the flame(s) next week. I'm excited :)

Yeah. Should be fun. I changed it up again, haha. I dropped the Scotts and added a single, maybe a pair, of flame wrasses. They said they had flames that were in mid process of switching to male, so they could get me one of those and a true female. I really wanted a pair of some type of wrasse.

The Scotts they had were 5 inches, so too big for my tank right now, but they said they were some of the nicest Scotts they ever had :( My initial thought was get it, but for the better interest of the fish, I passed. When I upgrade my tank later this year I can always add more. Pics to come Friday night
