hello
i have 2 reef led 90 on a red sea reefer 350 (75 gallons) 48x21x20 in

I have some corals pretty easy because my tank is still young (8 months) Acan, montipora, candy cane, Forest fire etc..

my tests are ok, Ca 410, Alk 8,5 and the rest is in the acceptable values, so i suspect the lights to be in cause, maybe too strong.
I had 100% blue and 80% white.
this week i reduced them to 85% blue and 70% white.
I would like to have an idea of your set up, in order to compare myself

thanks

Ideally you'd want or need to test the intensity of your lights with a PAR meter.....but who has $400 sitting around for a one-time use of this equipment? The next best thing (in my mind) is what I call a poor man's PAR meter......a LUX meter. You can find these for less than $15. What you're looking for with LEDs is between 20K to 25K LUX.

HERE is the one I purchased, and I see the price has gone up from when I purchased maybe five years ago.

Salinity 1,024 (Hanna)
mg 1380 (Red sea)
PH 8,21 (apex)
temp 79(apex)
Ammonia, nitrite, nitrate non detectable on Red sea test and i ran out of test for phosphate ?

i have no hagea or any kind of pest problems, and, i have a forest fire that is doing ready good, nice color and growing pretty fast but he is in the bottom of the tank.
this is one of the reasons why i think i may have too much light,
i would like to compare your set up with the same light ?
maybe it was too strong

Hi, is the Red Sea nitrate pro end colour completely clear? Myself and many others use Red Sea pro for nitrate and if it’s completely clear that could be a big problem. What was the p04 level the last time you tested?

yes it is completely clear, and p04 was at zero with hanna but not the low range, the regular tester
