Hello new to r2r. I just picked up a reefer 170. Going crazy w
trying to find a light. Pretty tight budget as of now, going to have a mixture of corals and fish. Any suggestions? Looking to keep it under 500.00

I've been using a Radion G3 for over 5 years now on my 170. No issues. Good coverage. I run softies and LPS now but that's because I like them and nothing to do with lighting. I have had SPS in the tank and it did well until the dinos wiped them out, but that's a different topic. Anyway, highly recommended fixture.

To be honest though, if I knew that I was going to love softies and LPS and not need this light, I likely would've gone a cheaper route.
