Tropic Eden Sand

I have been researching sand to put in my tank. Been reading good reviews about tropic eden, has anyone here used this before?

youll be surprised i didnt even rinse it when i put it in my 180. my mp40s didnt blow it around.
its very heavy.

I used the miniflakes variety in my new rimless last week and also replaced the sandbed in my 45g cube with it last night. The sand is really white and clean looking and I like it so far! Got my 4 bags from Premium Aquatics.

And the BEST part is I didn't have to wash it!!! Just hooked on a filter sock is all!

Hmmmmm........ I have never even heard of this stuff. Everyone around here ( the LFS) uses carib-sea, I didnt know there was any difference. I will be checking this out for my next tank, or just to replace my carib-sea. LOL!

I used TE on my office cube, reef flakes. In my 240 I am redoing I am going to use 1-1.5" of the very fine TE sand. I hear its heavy and does not blow around to much. I will be the true test for it as I have crazy flow. After 6 yrs I am just tired of BB...

It's called patience ... sand is close to the last thing you add on a new tank build, so I'm sure Premium will be stocked back up by then ;)

I have zero paitence and if I don't have everything sitting in a pile for my build it bothers me and slows me down.... Don't ask why lol... I have to have everything ready to go just grab and fly!!!!! ;)

Would love to hear some additional feedback from those who just put this in their tank, espcially those who have MP10's in the smaller. :)

I was going to reuse sand, but think I am leaning toward new.

I used the Tropic Eden Aragalive Miniflake (Premium Aquatics) in this Desktop build. I like it, no rinsing, it was very clean and I think a bit brighter than the Caribsea I've always used.
