I recently bought a Red Sea Reefer 350 to upgrade from a 46 gal Bow front. So here is my issue, I want setup my Reefer 350 in the same spot as my current 46 gal Bowfront. What is the best way to do this without losing any fish? Oh and I also bought new sand, so the old sand will go in trash...
OK. So my fiance and I split back in June and when I moved out I left our tank with him. Fast forward and I finally realize that he hasnt been taking care of it and now I would say 75% of the corals and fish that were in there are dead. I am super upset about it and now I need to nurse what is...

Hello,
I am new to the forums but have been keeping reef tanks/fowlr tanks for the past five years. I recently picked up a 125 gallon tank that was brand new from craigslist for $100 dollars so that was too good of a deal to pass up. So, since I have picked up this tank, I was looking to see...
Is there such a thing? Is there a species of stomatopod that has no interest in corals or fish? I don't mind it taking out some hermits and snails. Also the aquarium is a 125 gallon with a 4 inch sand bed and is well established.
Some says this is one of hard fish to keep due to prone to ick. However with proper quarantine and mature tank, it is not impossible to keep PBT for long time.
These are my two PBT kept in 220g tank, been keeping them for 4+ years.
I've been reading and watching A LOT of videos. I've seen most of the BRS videos on setting up a tank and have the general idea about how to do it but everything varies so much by tank size and other factors it's hard to now exactly what size items (piping, sump, pump, etc) I need for my...
Hello I'm new to the forum. I'm beginning my second reef aquarium.
I started a couple of years ago with a 66 gallons (Red sea Max). I had to stop it due to some reasons, but today i'm back again.
I build my tank completely by myself.
Indeed, i did not want to buy a complete system from a...
Hey Everyone,
I'm starting a 40 breeder reef tank build as an early birthday present to myself (Birthday is September, but it counts right?). I'm going to be posting constant updates with pictures as I have nothing else to do while I wait for my tank to cycle. This will be my first tank, so...

Hi guys. My name is Brett and I’m almost 14 years old. My parents got me an early bday gift and it was a 40b and 20l sump. We will be buying the rest of the equipment as we move this tank build forward. This is my second tank. My first tank was a 10g tank that has been thriving for 4 months now...
Hi everyone! I am starting to get into the more difficult to keep SPS corals and most likely need to increase the flow within my tank. I have an all in one system, and when I first started to get corals I got a simple powerhead. So far, it has accomplished the job. It was rather inexpensive...
I have been in the hobby nearing 7 years, and have a few systems running currently.
If you need to get in contact with me, I have the same username on other platforms, or fire off a PM as that will generate an email alert. Otherwise I no longer regularly browse this forum, nor wish to support...
As I move closer to putting a stock list into motion on my new build, I can't help but think about some of the stories I've read about that one fish with a crazy or outgoing personality. I figured it would be cool for everyone to post stories of different fish and the antics they are up to in...
Decided to post my build thread on a 300 gallon reef tank. I have had anywhere from a 10 gallon to a 125 gallon aquarium and decided it was time to upgrade. Have had saltwater tanks for past 15 years previously freshwater before that. Enjoying the hobby so much and have learned a lot along the...

Tank Parameters Of Some Masters
To this day one of the most frequently asked questions I get, and actually that many “old time hobbyists” get is “How do I get rid of the algae in my tank. My first question then is “what are the parameters of your tank’s water? Invariably the answer is my tank’s...
Unfortunately, I am getting out of the hobby due to lack of time because of school. I am selling my complete setup. This includes everything, and I mean everything you will need to run a thriving Mixed or SPS reef tank, including some current inhabtants for the next six months. Here is the...
