Has anyone done research on the new Nicrew HypeReef Gen 2? Looks really impressive so far on specs and for the price. Recommend settings?

They are amazing lights for the price. Tons of power and you can have 3 of the 200s for the price of 1 XR30. Not to mention you will have tank mounts for every light as well.

One negative with them is how loud the fans are at higher temperatures. If run on the AB+ setting, the fans don’t get too loud overall

Glad to hear that. To me it shows how over priced radions are when you can get three of these for the price of one. Good to know about the fans. AB+ will be my go to then.

I just got the 150 for my 50 gallon tank. Curious to see recommended settings as well. Also just received a canopy from unreef.
You’ll definitely have to post a picture of it with the canopy on it later. I was looking at the canopies on 3DReefing.com. It’s nice to see so much custom options out there for these lights.

Upgraded from a Gen 1 to a Gen 2 a few months ago and I love it. I had to lower the light and increase the intensity percentages though to keep current PAR numbers. This is due to the increased spread of the wide angle lenses. I run blues at 100% and whites/red/green at 60% when at full spectrum for 4 hours with a 4 hour ramp up and 4 hour ramp down.
